Hello and welcome to my internet home! Kick off your shoes and let's get to know each other. I'll start...
I'm a queer, vegan, Jew from North Carolina. I left my southern accent behind once I went to school in Boston (don't worry, it still comes out after a glass of wine or two). I got my BFA in Acting at Emerson College before moving to Chicago in 2011, where I dove headfirst into the improv scene. Now, I am proud to say, not only am I on a house team at iO Theater (formerly improv Olympic), but also a member of the iO creative board of directors. In addition to iO, I play every Thursday at The Annoyance, every Saturday at The Second City and in the Mainstage Ensemble at Laugh Out Loud Theater. On top of performing improv, I am also a teacher, a coach and good drinking buddy.
I love improv, but my roots are in theater. I have been acting since the 3rd grade when I played the Wicked Witch of the West to rave reviews. In Chicago I have gotten to act in and be apart of world premiere plays, musicals, puppet shows and work with some incredible people.
Through the grace of Beyonce (or whatever you worship) I have gotten to combine my love of both acting and improv and create my own original work. I have written and performed sketch, moth-style stories, and solo work all over the city. But I am most proud of my solo show "I'm Just Like You: The Cult Story" headed to the United Solo Festival in NYC!
I'm so excited to share a little bit of myself with you because as RuPaul says..."If you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else."
